Jade day: April 2008

One of the ways grump and I agreed to spend time with the little people is to set aside specific days for each of them. This past Sunday was Jade Day for me and simultaneously Onyx Jr. Day for grump- we'll be switching kids in May- but I'm the resident photographer, so I have the pictures from my day with the boss...

ifest 2008

This year's ifest focused on Africa. Very appropriate for bug, grump, the boss and mr. coolbreeze. Grump and I happily vetted thoughtful questions about our heritage from our two little peolple. We also ran into our cousin from LA who recently moved to Houston with his new wife! It was a good day.

better late than never...

It's been a minute since we've had any adventures posted, so here's a brief summary: We're in sort of a transition period that should be concluding soon. Challenges and trials are part of the territory called life so we are careful to count our blessings at every twist and turn. Though we may not always agree or get along, we are happiest when we are together as a family and, for the time we spend in each other's presence, we are grateful.

yes, people I too am not immune to birthdays (April 2nd). although I actually relish the attention and gifts, I would prefer to remain young forever instead of- as the boss so eloquently puts it- "Super OLD".
