DeKaney HS Homecoming '09

The Homecoming game against rival Westfield Mustangs provided Onyx and the DeKaney Wildcats with another victory (34-14 final score). Onyx never came out of the game, playing offense, defense and a position on special teams. Onyx also attended the varsity game yesterday with his buddies, so he is officially making his mark as a high school student. Also today, after much trepidation, Jade was moved up to the regulation height hoop in her basketball league. We are a busy group these days but no one is complaining.

Busy Weekend

This weekend we are in preparation mode: I am getting ramped up to run another half marathon; Jade is working on her game for another season of basketball and Onyx Jr. has his 1st HS HOMECOMING game AND DANCE Thursday and Friday, respectively... Lots to do and we are having fun doing it:o).

Onyx Jr. Allows Rare Photos!

Why do I feel like I just caught a unicorn if I get pictures of my son? I think I can finally talk him into taking pictures more frequently now that he wants to constantly flex his muscles. Both he and Jade started school last month and love it so far, which is FANTASTIC. Onyx is a FRESHMAN at DeKaney HS and starts offense, defense AND special teams as a tight end and defensive end- He can also dust me and his father quickly around the track. Jade will be starting her 5th session of basketball next week- so look out for those photos soon.
